[经验分享] tomcat单机多实例的两种方法

  此处以截至目前的最新版tomcat为例,非安装版(zip,tar.gz)解压即可用,版本号为:8.0.17
  方法一:最简单的做法
  打开已经解压好来的tomcat可以看到如下目录和文件

  打开conf文件夹目录如下(这里存放着tomcat的配置文件)

  使用文本编辑器gedit等打开server.xml

  红色为必须修改的地方,草绿色可以保持不变,但是修改为自定义目录较好。
  appbase:web程序的默认目录,可以修改成tomcat以外的任意的目录。(目录要有访问权限)
  directory:定义程序的日志目录,位置可以修改到tomcat目录以外的目录。
  这时已经完成了单机两个实例的配置了。tomcat在服务器上的启动方式不变。若要配置更多的tomcat实例继续操作上面的一步就行了。
  此法缺点明显是: 随着实例的增加,server.xml将难以维护,也不利于tomcat的升级(原因是server.xml文件会被新的server.xml文件覆盖,可以想想一下,有多个实例,每个实例上又运行着好几个web应用,这该是多糟糕的事情,这也说明把说有的鸡蛋放一个篮子里事件多危险的事了)
  方式二:这个步骤稍多,但是一样的简单,个人感觉这个运行多实例更好
  步骤如下
  1.把tomcat解压后的目录拷贝一份删除里面的文件

  2.删除bin和lib文件夹
  3.打开conf目录中server.xml,修改里面的如下内容

  红色部分的内容即为必须修改的内容,因为端口在计算机中不允许重复的绑定。
  这个在升级tomcat时很方便
  下面新建一个bin目录
  增加一下两个启动,关闭脚本
  start.sh

  授权 chmod u+x start.sh或者 chmod 764 start.sh
  stop.sh

  授权 chmod u+x stop.sh或者 chmod 764 stop.sh
  要启动实例直接运行接本既可(还可以扩展更多的脚本根据catalina.sh的脚本命令)
