DB2认证考试目标(英文)

  This appendix provides the test objectives for the following exams:
  l         DB29 Fundamentals (730)
  l         DB29 DBA for Linux, UNIX and Windows (731)
  l         DB29 for Linux, UNIX and Windows Advanced DBA (734)
  l         DB29 DBA for Linux, UNIX and Windows Upgrade (736)
  How does one cerfify? There are three basic steps:
  1.         Understandcertification test objective.
  2.         Reviewstudy guides, online tutorials, or take an education course. Then test your knowledge by taking an assessment exam at www.ibm.com/software/data/education/cert/assessment.html. There assessments are offered through Prime/Prometric at low nominal fee of $10USD.
  3.         Registerand take the certification exam.

  Detailed information on the IBM Professional Certification program, including the DB2 Database certification exams, can be found at:

  Experience with DB2 is the best route to preparing for the DB2 certification exams, This certification guide is intended to be used alongside your day-to-dayuse of DB2 while preparing for the exams.
  DB2 Certification Levels
  There five job roles and three levels of certified solution expert associated with the DB2 product in the distributed environment. The following diagramlists the exam numbers and the corresponding certification level associated with it.

  Exam 736 (DB2 9 DBA for Linux, Unix, and Windows Upgrade) has only 38 questions and can be taken instead of Exam 731 - ifyou earned the DBA certification for V8.
  These certification levels are accurate at time of publication, but additional exams may be added to these over time. For more information on the certificationlevels, please refer to the IBM certification site: www.ibm.com/certify.
  
  DB2 Fundamentals (730)
  The Database Associate is an entry-level DBA or a user of any of the DB2 family of products. This individual is knowledgeable about the fundamentalconcepts of DB2 9 through either hands-on experience or formal and informal education. The database associate should bave an in-depth knowledge of the basic to intermediate tasks required in day-to-day administration, basic SQL (Structured Query Language),understand how DB2 9 is packaged and installed, understand how to create database and database objects, and have a basic knowledge of database security and transaction isolation.
  To attain the IBM Certified Database Associate - DB29 Fundamentals certification, candidates must pass one test.
  Section 1 - Planning (14%)
  l         Knowledgeof restricting data access
  l         Knowledgeof the features of functions available in DB2 tools (just tools that come with product - distributed space - i.e.,control center, configuration advisor, configuration assistant, command line processor)
  l         Knowledgedatabase workloads (OLAP vs. warehousing)
  l         Knowledgeof non-relational data concepts (extenders)
  l         Knowledgeof XML data implications (non-shredding)
  Section 2 - Security(11%)
  l         Knowledgeof DB2 products (client, server, etc.)
  l         Knowledgeof different privileges and authorities
  l         Knowledgeof encryption option (data and network)
  l         Givena DDL SQL statement, knowledge to identify results (grant/revoke/connect statement)
  Section 3 - Working with Database and Database objects (17%)
  l         Abilityto identify and connect to DB2 servers and databases
  l         Abilityto identify DB2 objects
  l         Knowledgeof basic characteristics and properties of DB2 objects
  l         Givena DDL SQL statement, knowledge to identify results (ability to create objects)
  Section 4 - Working with DB2 Data using SQL (23.5%)
  l         Givena DML SQL statement, knowledge to identify results
  l         Abilityto use SQL to SELECT data from tables
  l         Abilityto use SQL to SORT or GROUP data
  l         Abilityto use SQL to UPDATE, DELETE or INSERT data
  l         Knowledgeof transactions (i.e., commit/rollback and transcation boundaries)
  l         Abilityto call a produre or invoke a user defined function
  l         Givenan Xquery statement, knowledge to identify results
  Section 5 - Working with DB2 Tables Views and Indexes (23.5%)
  l         Abilityto demonstrate usage of DB2 data types
  l         Givena situation, ability to create table
  l         Knowledgeto identify when referential integrity should be used
  l         Knowledgeto identify methods of data constraint
  l         Knowledgeto identify characteristics of a table, view or index
  l         Knowledgeto identify when triggers should be used
  l         Knowledgeof schemas
  l         Knowledgeof data type options for shoring XML data
  Section 6 - Data Concurrency (11%)
  l         Knowledgeto identify factors that influence locking
  l         Abilityto list objects on which locks can be obtained
  l         Knowledgeto identify characteristics of DB2 locks
  l         Givena situation, knowledge to identify the isolation levels that should be used
  
  
  DB2 for LUW Datavase Administration (731)
  If you are knowledgeable with DB2 9 and are capable of performing the intermediate to advanced skills required in the day-to-day administration of DB2instances and databases, you may benefit from this certification role.
  To attain the IBM Certified Database Administrator - DB29 DBA for Linux, UNIX, and Windows certification, candidates must pass 2 tests: Test 730 (DB2 9 Fundamentals) and Test 731.
  Candidates who have passed exam 700 - DB2UDB V8.1 Family Fundamentals, or who have acquired the IBM Certified Database Administrator DB2 UDB V8.1 for Linux, UNIX and Windows certification (by passing both exams 700 and 701), obtain the Certified Database Administrator certification.

  l         Abilityto configure/manage DB2 instances (e.g. scope)
  l         Abilityto obtain/modify database manager configuration information
  l         Abilityto obtain/modify database configuration information
  l         Knowledgeof DB2 force command

  l         Abilityto schedule jobs
  l         Abilityto use Automatic mantaince (i.e., RUNSTATES, BACHUP, REORG)
  l         Abilityto configure client server connectivity using DISCOVERY
  l         Skillin interpreting the notify log
  l         Abilityto obtain and modify DB2 registry varibles
  l         Abilityto use self-tuning memory management and autoconfig
  l         Abilityto use throttling utilities
  Section 2 - Data Placement (17.5%)
  l         Abilityto create a database
  l         Skillin discussing the use of schemas
  l         Skillin discussing the various tablespace states
  l         Abilityto create and manipulate the various DB2 objects
  l         Abilityto create and discuss the characteristics of an SMS tablespace

  Section 4 - Analyzing DB2 Activity (13%)
  l         Abilityto capture and analyze EXPLAIN/VISUAL EXPLAIN information
  l         Abilityto capture snapshots suing GET SNAPSHOTS or SQL functions
  l         Abilityto create and activate event monitors
  l         Abilityto configure Health Monitor using the Health Center
  l         Abilityto identify the functions of Problem Determination tools (e.g., db2bp, db2mtrk)
  Section 5 - DB2 Utilities (14.5%)
  l         Abilityto use EXPORT utility to extract data from a table
  l         Abilityto use IMPORT utility to insert data into table
  l         Abilityto use the LOAD utility to insert data into table
  l         Knowledgeto identify when to use IMPORT vs. LOAD
  l         Abilityto use the REORG, REORGCHK, REBIND and RUNSTATS utilities

  DB2 for LUW Advanced DBA (734)
  All IBM Certified Advanced Database Administrator is lead DBA for DB2 products on one or more of the following platforms: Linux, UNIX (including AIX,HP-UX, and Sun Solaris), and Windows. This individual has extensive experience as a DBA and extensive knowledge of DB2 9. This person is capable of performing the advanced tasks such as performance, high availability, security and networking that are required.
  To earn an IBM Certified Advanced Database Administrator Certification for DB2 9, you must pass the following exams:
  1.         Exam734 - DB2 9 for Linux, UNIX, and Windows Advanced Database Administrator
  2.         EitherExam 736 - Upgrade Exam for DB2 9 for Linux, UNIX, and Windows Database Administrator or Exam 731 - FullExam for DB2 9 for Linux, UNIX and Windows Database Administrator
  3.         EitherExam 700 - DB2 V8 Family Fundamentals or Exam 730 - DB29 Fundamentals
  The test contains six section with 51 multiple-choice questions. You must score 64% or greater to pass the exam. The percentages each section titlereflect the approximate distribution of the total question set across the sections.
  Section 1 - Database Design (14%)
  l         Abilityto design, create and manage tablespaces
  l         Abilityto design, create and manage bufferpools
  l         Abilityto design and configure federated database access
  Section 2 - Data Partitioning and Clustering (15%)
  l         Abilityto design, create and manage database partitioning
  l         Abilityto design, create and manage multi-dimensional clustered tables
  l         Abilityto design, create and manage table partitioning
  l         Knowledgeof Balance Configuration Unit (BCU)
  Section 3 - High Availability and Diagnostics (20%)
  l         Abilityto manage database logs for recovery
  l         Abilityto use advanced bachup features
  l         Abilityto use advanced recovery features
  l         Abilityto enhance database availability
  l         Abilityto use diagnostic tools (db2bp, db2mtrk, inspect, db2dart, db2diag)
  Section 4 - Performance and Scalability (33%)
  l         Identifyand use DB2 registry varibles that affect database system performance
  l         Identifyand use configuration parameters that affect database system performance
  l         Knowledgeof query optimizer concepts
  l         Abilityto manage and tune database, instance and application memory and I/O
  l         Abilityto use data compression

  Section 5 - Security (8%)
  l         Knowledgeof external authentication mechanisms

  Section 6 - Connectivity and Networking (10%)
  l         Abilityto configure client server connectivity (e.g., db2discovery)
  l         Abilityto manage connections to host systems
  l         Abilityto identify and resolve connection problems
  
  IBM Certified DBA for DB2 9 for LUW, Upgrade (736)
  If you are one of the many people who has earned an IBM Certified Database Administrator - DB2UDB V8.1 for Linux, NUIX and Windows Certification, the is an upgrade exam available.
  As with Version 8, there are two different exams that you can take to upgrade to the V9 DBA Certification:
  1.         Exam736 - IBM Certified Database Administrator for DB2 9 for Linux, UNIX and Windows, Upgrade Exam
  2.         Exam731 - IBM Certified Database Administrator for DB2 9 for Linux, UNIX and Windows, Full Exam
  The Upgrade Exam 736 is only an option for candidates who are already certified as an IBM Certified Database Administrator - DB2UDB V8.1 for Linux, UNIX and Windows. If you pass the exam you will earn you the same certificate that you’d earn from passing Exam 731.
