　　Licensing for vSphere 5 - Updated for vSphere 5.1
　　The new vSphere licensing model for both vSphere 5.0 and vSphere 5.1 is based on processor licences. Each physical processor (CPU) in a server needs to have a vSphere 5 processor licence.
　　There is no limitation on the number of VMs or the amount of virtual memory (vRAM) on each licenced processor. There is no restriction on the number of physical cores or the amount of physical RAM.
　　If you purchase vSphere with Operations Management the two licences are tied together and behave as a single entitlement.
　　A Support and Subscription (SnS) contract is required for every vSphere edition purchased.
