On Mac OS X 10.4 Server:
1. Join the machine to the domain
2. Launch /Applications/Server/Workgroup Manager
a. In Sharing tab, select 'All' and navigate to the folder which you want to share
b. In "General" tab, select "share this item and tis contents"
c. In "Access" tab, set up the Users and Groups who can mount from the afp-client:
Click "Users & Groups"
Drag the zone Users & Groups to the "Access Control List"
Set up the permission of zone user
d. In "Protocols" tab, configure each protocols(Option)
e. Click "Save"
3. Lanuch /Applications/Server/Server Admin, restart the AFP Service.
On Mac OS X 10.5 Server:
1. Join the Machine to the domain
2. Lanuch /Applications/Server/Server Admin
a. In "SERVERS" tree, select the Server
b. In "File Sharing" tab, select "Volumes" and "Browse", navigate to the folder which you want to share
c. Click "Share" button
d. In the "Share Point" Tab, set up "Protocol Options..."
e. In "Permissions" tab, click "+" to add zone users and groups, then set up the Permissions of zone user
f. Click "Save"
3. In "Settings" tab, select "Services" tab, select the service of AFP, and Click "Save"
4. In "SERVERS" tree, select "AFP" that is below Server name, restart the AFP Service.
Notes: if you change the hostname, it should restart the AFP service. |
